The SRP Water Expo brings together members of our community virtually to celebrate water in the Valley and discover ways to conserve at home.

Smart irrigation controllers

Virtual Expo attendees had the option to purchase online either a Hunter Pro-HC with Hydrawise™ or a Rachio 3 Smart Sprinkler controller. Quantities are limited.See smart irrigation controller frequently asked questions.

The smart irrigation controllers have sold out!

The following two controllers were available:

Hunter controller

Rachio 3 Smart Sprinkler controller
The Rachio 3 eight-zone Smart Sprinkler Controller helps you monitor and manage watering from anywhere with robust smartphone control. Create perfectly tailored schedules, make automatic weather adjustments and maintain the perfect yard — without lifting a finger. Learn more about the features.
- Rachio smart controller is $60 plus tax* (retail value is $199.99) and includes the outdoor enclosure box (retail value is $29.99).
  Discount and rebate:Ewing discounted price for expo attendees is $170; SRP provides an instant rebate of $110.

Purchasing

Purchase your controller online and pick up your items at an Ewing location (see map below).

After attending the virtual expo, instructions will be provided on how to purchase a controller online through Ewing Irrigation, at discounted prices. The SRP instant rebate will be applied automatically.

All controllers purchased online will be available for pickup at an Ewing location by presenting a valid receipt (email confirmation). All orders must be picked up by July 30, 2022. Orders not picked up will be cancelled. The last date for returns is August 13, 2022.

Customer may only purchase one of the two available discounted controller options and there is a limit of one controller per household.

*Participant is responsible for sales tax on a price of $165 for the Hunter controller and $170 Rachio controller from Ewing Irrigation.

The expo is the largest one-day distribution of smart irrigation controllers in the nation. Nearly 8,800 smart controllers have been distributed over the past 14 years, which translates into an approximate water savings of about 175 million gallons. This is based on the average household water use of 12,000 gallons per month before installation of a smart controller.

Smart Irrigation Controller Sessions

Hunter Smart Irrigation Controller: In this class, you’ll learn how to set up your controller, configure your app and connect to your Wi-Fi network. You will understand the different watering options available and see how your system uses the world’s most accurate local weather data to fine-tune irrigation according to site needs. Finally, you will learn how irrigation or landscape contractors can enable remote system monitoring for ultimate peace of mind.

Rachio Smart Sprinkler Controller: This class will provide instruction on installing the Rachio controller, zone configurations and schedule types. Additionally, you'll receive training on the Rachio app and how to update settings from your phone.
